Dell 2405FPW - 24 Inch Monitor

What do ParaDOX, In0x and Bill Gates have in common?

Dell 2405FPW                   24 Inch Monitor

Okay, so I’m not really sure that Bill Gates has a 24 inch Dell monitor, but he should. After all, if it’s good enough for ParaDOX and In0x, it’s good enough for Gates. Besides, I’m pretty sure he can afford one. I, on the other hand, may have to sell a kidney or do some yard work to pay mine off. They go for a little under a grand but I got a sweet 22% discount because Dell knows how popular my reviews are (coincidentally it was Dell’s 22nd anniversary and everyone was getting the same discount that week).

Anyone that tells you size doesn’t matter is lying to you. The 24” Dell is technically only 5 inches bigger than the 19” BenQ that I was using but it seems much bigger. The max resolution is completely over the top (1920 after installing a driver although the X-Box 360 only supports up to 1340 and doesn’t allow you to install drivers, which buy the way, means you also can’t use a mouse, sorry Para) and the refresh rate is blisteringly fast for a 24” LCD which means no matter what your playing, if it looked good before, it will look awesome now.

The monitor has five different connections in the back which means whatever kind of cables you’re using it’s no problem. You can even connect it to multiple sources and switch between inputs with a simple button press. There are multiple ports on the side for all kinds of memory devices (Para could probably comment better than me on their functionality since I’m not even sure what most of them are for). You can also run a separate cable (included) to the USB port on your PC or 360 and use the monitor as a USB hub since it also has two built in USB ports. It even has a place to plug in your toaster and the screen doubles as a hot plate so you can make omelets and toast without ever pausing your game or being AFK.

Seriously though, I’ve never seen games or movies or videos, or anything for that matter, look this good on any format or at any price which is what it’s really all about so if you can squeeze this behemoth into your budget I can guaranty you will not be disappointed.

Nah I don't think so.
