BenQ FP91G 19” Monitor
Monster X-Box 360 AV / VGA Adaptor Cables
I hate directions. I really, really hate directions. I will drive around for hours before I roll down the window and ask someone where the nearest Gamestop is. That’s one of the reasons why I love my new BenQ monitor so much. I opened the box and five minutes later I was gaming. I never even had to move my drink to pick up the instructions. That was only the beginning of my love affair with my new monitor. When I saw how much better my games looked on the BenQ I was really hooked.
You don’t have to be a geek to know quality when you see it. I’ve played a lot of games on a lot of consoles using a lot of TVs but I’ve never seen them look so good. In fact, after I set this monitor up I went through my CD case just booting up all kinds of different games to see how much better they looked and every one of them looked amazing. Even the ones that didn’t impress me on the TV looked amazing on the BenQ.
The price was right also. For $300.00 with a $60.00 rebate on newegg.com it comes out to just $240.00 which is very cheap for a monitor of this quality. I was going to by an LCD TV which would have cost me about a thousand dollars more for just a few more inches of screen size but with a little guidance from Para and a couple of hours comparison shopping online I made a decision that I’m very happy with. I really can’t say enough good things about this monitor but don’t just take my word for it, go online and read some other reviews.
Since I bought the BenQ monitor to connect to my X-Box 360 I had to get a special adaptor cable to hook it up. I chose the Monster Cable X-Box 360 AV / VGA Cables. With 24 carat gold plated connectors, all soldering done using silver, high grade copper wire, the cable itself filled with nitrogen gas to block RF interference and a mesh shield around the cable that feels like you could park a Mack Truck on it without doing any damage, these cables are the real deal. As strong as the mesh shielding is its still flexible enough to be routed through any shelving system.
The price may seem a little steep at $59.00, if you order online it comes out to about $70.00 after tax and shipping, but like they say you get what you pay for. I don’t really have a lot of experience with other cables so I don’t have much to compare them to but just like the BenQ monitor you don’t have to be a genius to know quality when you see it.
If you’re serious about gaming and you don’t want to spend thousands of dollars my advice is to get an X-Box 360, hook it up to the BenQ monitor using Monster AV / VGA cables, get the Logitech X-230 speakers and you will have a gaming rig that is as serious as you are for under $800.00. It’s exactly what I’m using and I couldn’t be happier.
